Both the modern and contemporary styles have a strong classical base. These styles focus on the principles of centering, alignment, gravity, breath contraction, release and fall, recovery, tension and relaxation, opposition, and emotion. A beautiful style of dance is now becoming very popular as an extension of classical classes.

At Robyn Yvette Dance Centre, we offer modern and contemporary dance classes at a variety of skill levels to not only cater to your experience but to help students progress and develop their skills and techniques. Whether your child is a beginner or already has some experience, we can help them develop their dance skills.

- Deep Purple Studio Dance Top or Leotard
- Black Bike Pants / Short dance pants
- Camel Jazz Shoes / (Black Jazz shoes from Intermediate)
- No Shoes required for Modern
- Hair – Must be worn in ponytail or bun
