SPECTACULAR CONCERTS & TOURS

We also hold a spectacular Annual Concert each year where every student from the studio has the opportunity to participate. The R.Y.D.C. also performs at many other venues and events, including school fetes, shopping centre performances, Australia Day open-air concerts, to name a few.

The centre has also toured to the U.S.A. on five occasions with students having the opportunity to perform in Bellingham, Washington State, Victoria Island, Disneyland and Universal Studios in Anaheim, California, numerous theatres in Branson, Missouri, including the Dolly Parton Dixie Stampede Arena, Disneyworld and Universal Studios in Florida, and the "Majesty of the Seas" Caribbean Cruise ship performances.

TECHNICAL REHEARSAL

DRESS REHEARSAL

Dress rehearsal will occur at the R.Y.D.C. studios during classes or on a designated dress rehearsal day.

DANCE TOURS

Dance tours are typically organized every 4-5 years. The Robyn Yvette Dance Centre has toured to the United States five times where the students have had the opportunity to perform at:

Bellingham
Washington State
Victoria Island
Disneyland & Universal Studios (California & Florida)
Theatres in Branson, Missouri USA
The Dolly Parton Dixie Stampede Arena
Majesty of the Seas cruise (Caribbean Islands)

Some tours have included travelling to Bellingham in Washington State, the U.S.A., and Victoria Island. The students were billeted and were fortunate to attend and perform at the local middle schools and high schools. These particular trips were part of a Sister City exchange, and the studio was selected by the Port Stephens Council to represent the Port Stephens area.

Students lucky enough to be selected for these tours get the opportunity to travel and experience connecting with students in their age group, to see first-hand life in America, and to perform at a variety of venues

Students who are selected are between the ages of 13 to 20 years of age and are efficient in all dance styles. It is advantageous if students hoping to have this opportunity have good classical ballet training to enhance the other styles of dance that they will be performing.
